If you’re just starting out with travel hacking and finding yourself a little overwhelmed keeping track of everything, you’re not alone.
When I first started diving into the world of credit cards and travel planning, I struggled to keep all the different pieces in line.
Especially with credit cards, there is so much to track – from annual fee, to which transaction categories give you the most points.
With travel hacking, you’ll want to be very diligent about staying on top of all your cards. You’ll need to know how old your credit card accounts are, your progress on reaching welcome sign up bonuses, and how close you are to reaching Chase’s 5/24 rule. Read our beginner’s guide if you’re unfamiliar with the importance of these components.
Having a spreadsheet you can personalize to your needs is the key to keeping all the moving pieces in order.
That’s why I put together my Travel Hacking Tracker and Travel Itinerary spreadsheets, to help you navigate the complexities of travel hacking.
What is Travel Hacking?
If you’re new to my page, or to travel hacking, here’s what it is: a strategy of utilizing credit card rewards to earn free or nearly free travel. You can check out my travel hacking beginner’s guide here if you want to learn more about how it works and whether it’s for you.
Travel Hacking Tracker
Designed to help you keep track of all your credit cards, reward balances, and reward redemptions. This spreadsheet will help you play the travel hacking game safely and successfully. I provide notes on how to best utilize the spreadsheet but it’s totally flexible to make it what you need.
Travel Itinerary
This Travel Itinerary spreadsheet is meant to help you the most when you’re planning a trip. This goes hand-in-hand with the Travel Hacking Tracker, especially if you’re using points to plan your trip! You’ll be able to keep your accommodation, flights, car rentals and activities organized using this spreadsheet. Happy planning!
I hope you enjoy using these two travel spreadsheets I’ve created and hope they make your travel hacking and travel planning much easier. Each spreadsheet includes directions on how to use and how you can customize.
There’s no reason travel should be stressful and no reason you should get yourself into credit card trouble – these two spreadsheets are designed to keep your life in order so you can live to the fullest.
